I am really looking forward to Coffee and Conversation on February 15th and talking about real events in the news! I would really appreciate if people used this blog post to copy and paste (and discuss if you want to) recent news articles that have struck their interest. Personally, I am a fan of cnn.com but there are lots of good news sites (feel free to recommend one as well!). Also, feel free to indicate topics you are interested in talking more in depth about -- politics, veganism, our war in Afganistan, the situation in Thailand with the Burmese refugees, etc. Please post early and post often :)

Here's a piece of news. The world has it's first openly gay head of state, Johanna Sigurdardottir of Iceland. You can certainly find out plenty of things if you just Google her name, but I'd point to this post at The Slog .
The commentary interests me the most: "Change doesn't come until you need it most. America's economy crashes and we elect a black man. Iceland drowns in an economic tumult and picks a lesbian."
Is there something about crisis that compels people to put their prejudice on hold (or better, move past it) and consider a person's qualifications over particular markers of identity?
You create macros by going to the in-game menu, go to macros, and then typing in the actions that you wish to happen.
